1.4 ruined shield tanking altogether with the insanely short TTK and whatever fixes they made back when aiming/hit detection sucked. Shields were meant to be about self sustaining a lower EHP that could regenerate fast through rechargers/energizers and regulators. But the downtime between fights and pinpoint accuracy that automatic weapons have allows them to deal their full DPS- in a second. If this is intentional (and I doubt it is) shields need a serious buff.

The AR was always a bit overpowered, but that's what made it fun when you could kill one with a more gimped weapon. 1.4 just made it insane to the point that nothing else can compete. I've spent the past few weeks with a GEK-38, killing everything from 40+ meters just by hip firing- just by ******* hip firing. The only time I really needed to ADS was against snipers, lasers and scrambler rifles. 1.4 made an easy to use and somewhat imbalanced weapon into the game's only viable option in most cases. The AR might be too powerful, but I'd rather see the average dropsuit lifespan go up a bit since we're all spending months to build our characters.

I still agree with another poster where the description should fit the suit, so just give it it's reduced small arms fire, like 20% reduction on suit 50% on that small planetoid of a head

Also 20% less dispersion on the HMG's
